Multi-Day Bareboat Charter San Diego
For bareboat yacht charters in San Diego, you simply charter (rent) the yacht and you skipper the boat. Previous sailing experience is required, along with proper certification. If you need to develop those skills/certs, see our Sailing Lessons section, or choose a charter with captain.

We gladly accept ASA 114 certifications. However, if you’re newly certified or have limited bareboat catamaran experience, your first charter with Blue Pacific Yachting will include a qualification session with one of our licensed captains. This on-the-water assessment is typically conducted at the beginning of your charter and usually lasts about four hours (or longer if additional instruction is needed). The cost is $75 per hour, paid directly to the captain.

Best Weather in the Country…. But
While San Diego enjoys some of the fairest and most consistently good weather in the USA, we will on rare occasions have to postpone a charter due to inclement weather (typically a Small Craft Advisory). This decision is made at the discretion of the captain and management of BPY. If a decision to postpone a charter is made, it is done so with the safety and comfort of of our clients in mind. If foul weather is forecast we urge you to contact us for an update.
