Lovely Day is a Sun Odyssey 389, one of the most popular models offered by Jeanneau. It offers the best of both worlds with a wide, open cockpit for entertaining and outstanding accommodations below deck. The 389 is also a Marc Lombard design, so for the racers out there, this means that the 389 really sails! Even sailors who usually enjoy cruising appreciate that the 389 routinely outperforms boats that are much larger.

On deck, the cockpit area stands out for entertaining and ease of sailing. Lovely Day is equipped with a furling mainsail. This option, along with the standard furling genoa and all the control lines running back to the cockpit, is why two people can easily sail the 389. In fact, it’s so user-friendly that one person can sail it with a bit of practice! The drop-down transom offers easy access to the water and proves to be the most popular spot for the kids while anchored.

The Jeanneau SO 389’s 3-cabin interior is designed for space and light, featuring a bright salon with a U-shaped galley to starboard and a navigation station to port. It includes a forward cabin and two aft cabins, sleeping six before any settees are utilized, plus a single head with an electric toilet and shower. All cabins offer storage, and the overall feel is airy due to large windows, hatches, and high headroom.
