Sea of Cortez Charters
BPY’s charter base located at Marina Puerto Escondido in Loreto, B.C.S., is a hidden gem 100 nautical miles north of La Paz in Mexico’s pristine protected National Marine Park in the Sea of Cortez called the “Aquarium of the World” by Jaques Cousteau. Experience abundant sea life including the annual migration of blue whales, mobula rays and whale sharks while you bask in the warm, turquoise waters and white sandy beaches of these remote private islands. Direct flights from LAX, Phoenix and Tijuana are only 90 minutes away to paradise!
L.A / Catalina Charters
Catalina and the Channel Islands National Marine Park are nothing short of world class. Catalina Island has long been a favorite destination of west coast sailors, and for good reason. Dining, hiking, shopping, swimming and sight seeing opportunities galore! It offers an amazing escape, seemingly light years away from the hustle of Los Angeles. But in fact, our Blue Pacific Yachting base in Marina del Rey is a short 30 mile reach from this watery playground.
And of course there are plenty of opportunities to sail monohulls and cats closer to the beaches and sights of Los Angeles, too.
Day Sailing San Diego
Cruise the harbor, check out the San Diego waterfront, stop for a lunch and swim. Or venture out into the Pacific to see dolphins and whales (in season). Lots of choices, and it's up to YOU.

A bareboat charter gives you ultimate freedom. And with it, the responsibility to get you and your crew and the cat safely back to the base at the end of your charter, sporting gigantic grins, wind-swept hair, and stories you’ll re-tell for years. BPY can guide you, but where you choose to sail and explore is truly up to you.
Bareboat charters with BPY require (as one would expect) proper sailing education and certifications, as well as suitable experience on similar vessels. Don’t worry, we’ll help you through the process. If you lack credentials, scroll down to our Learn-to-Sail Vacation options.
